Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari won’t be a part of The Hills: New Beginnings, but maybe that’s okay. Justin Bobby Brescia—the man so great he needed two first names—will be, and perhaps that’s all we need. Maybe this time around he can have a storyline that’s not just arguing with Audrina Patridge about the status of their non-relationship relationship. But, before we can count on the homeboy who wore combat boots to the beach to carry an entire reboot, we should probably see what he’s been up to since the OG Hills days.
He has a private Instagram account.*
Normally, if a celebrity were to have a private Instagram account, it would seem baffling. For Justin Bobby, it feels delightfully on brand. The 64.3k followers who have been granted access to his exclusive content are truly the chosen members of our society. The “whimsical ?” part of your IG bio is intriguing beyond belief, and we all want to see more.

He is in a “band” called BobbyrocK…
…which actually kind of seems like an excuse to just have another name? According to the BobbyrocK Facebook page, the members of the alternative punk rock band include Justin “BobbyrocK” Brescia and Justin “BobbyrocK” Brescia only. Its biography reads as follows:
BobbyrocK is a solo Punk Rock artist hailing from Austin, TX. It’s members include guitarist/vocalist Justin ‘Bobby’ Brescia, as seen on the hit reality MTV show The Hills as he uses a Hard Rock Drum Machine.
So, yeah. It’s been over a decade since we all tried to figure out what the hell this guy’s name actually is, and we have still made zero progress. I guess we should just continue to call him Justin Bobby, as per the display name of his private Instagram.
The good news is, although it is unclear whether BobbyrocK is a band or just an alter ego, it does have a public Instagram, where we can see plenty of Justin Bobby content. Like this mirror picture:
If you’re a huge BobbyrocK fan, you can stream the music on Spotify. Right now, the BobbyrocK Spotify page yields about 10 monthly users, so maybe The Hills reboot will help boost that number.
He is clearly passionate about hair styling.
Justin Bobby is a man of many talents and has (had?) a hair salon called Brush Your Hair Salon in Costa Mesa, California. (According to Yelp, it was founded in 2013 and is open everyday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., FYI) Although his hair styling Facebook page has been inactive since 2013, Justin Bobby does have a very large tattoo of a pair of shears, proving his lifelong dedication to the art of hair cutting.
There was also a “Justin Bobby Brescia Professional Stylist Approved” Brush Your Hair Conditioner. Unfortunately, it is currently unavailable on Amazon. Personally, I’m going to go ahead and add it to my list just in case it ever makes a return in all of its pear and vanilla scented glory.
He’s pretty openly critical of The Hills.
Though Justin Bobby still proudly claims to be from “the hit reality MTV show, The Hills,” but that doesn’t mean he’s afraid to bite the hand that feeds him. He’s admitted that many of the show’s most infamous scenes—like the time he left Audrina at the beach—were totally staged. He’s also really excited to be working with a cast that doesn’t include LC and Kristin, and told TMZ that the new cast is happy and filled with good vibes.
He’s on good terms with Audrina.
The most lovable bad guy from The Hills only has really good things to say about Audrina. When the star went through a rough divorce last year, Justin Bobby spoke out to wish her the best, saying he knew Audrina would “be fine,” citing her strong family values. He also gushed about how cute her baby girl, Kirra is.
