This One Works... What can I say, I was having problems with chronic stress and anxiety. This medication quieted my nerves quickly and smoothly and was just what was needed. It kept me calm through the day and allowed me to sleep peacefully. It was a remarkable change. After the better part of a year, we did a brief taper and just like that, I was off of it and never had any problems with side-effects. It was probably the most effective, easy, works as it should without problems medication I've ever tried. This was some years ago now, and since then I've had the problem recur. Alas, for whatever reason, the doctors stopped prescribing it. I presume that with a high enough dose it probably gives some sort of pleasurable altered state and/or that after long term use some people experience withdrawal symptoms. Happily, I had neither any greater pleasure than relief of my symptoms nor any withdrawal effects. I note that my doctors now try prescribing Klonopin, which works well for some apparently, but for me I can detect no effect at all, even with significant dosage. At least I don't have any withdrawal effects with it either. Alas, though, it generally means that I find myself having to suffer through the extended periods when my anxiety becomes extreme, without any effective treatment--fortunately, time itself resolves my problems for some decent interlude. Still, I find it unfortunate this medication carries a stigma with some doctors.
