    DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG! People on this board have great things to say because they have not been on it long enough to get to the bad part. I do think it is great for short term or as needed but please do not take this regularly unless you want your life to change to the point that you are a slave to the little pill which will only give you a short period of relief followed by extreme agitation and panic.

    I was given bad information about how addictive this drug is and how hard it can be to get off. I recomment www.benzo.org. The doctors prescribing it knew of its addiction but didn't inform me "for my own good" and felt I needed to be on it to deal with anxiety. Turns out I had a bad gall bladder and not "anxiety".

    Valium helped relieve tension and anxiety prior to a endoscopic procedure and a colonoscopy. It caused no side-effects other then a slight amount of drowsiness.
