Ok, I’m a hospital corpsman in the US Navy, working with Marines. I bought this book before deployment, knowing that some Marines would come up with skin issues during the 7 months we are overseas. We are sent to school to study medicine (ALL medicine) for 4 months, so I don’t know terribly detailed information about anything specific. Being that I’m their sole care provider in isolated areas at times it was very good to have all the pictures to compare with the diseases/ infections the Marines had. It enabled me to treat them effectively without the medical knowledge of a doctor or even more specifically, a dermatologist. I was very happy with all the photo’s but the one thing I would suggest in the making of future books is not just showing the picture of the complete worst case scenario of the disease, but several pictures of onset, maturation, and healing of the skin condition, that way if you’ll be closer to an explanation of where the person is in the disease process. I was extremely fortunate to have bought this because it came in handy on several patients. Thank you to the authors!

This book is so good, … that someone stole it from me within the first week of me receiving it. As the other reviewers mentioned, this is an excellent derm book. The pictures are clear, concise, all the information you would need to make a diagnosis; including usual pattern of distribution, description, up-to-date treatment guidelines. Very concise! Well, need-less-to-say, I hope that who ever stole my book ends up using it to treat the 100’s of skin diseases that I wish upon them and theirs! I hate thieves! So, I guess I’ll just have to fork over the bucks to get another one, it’s that good!!!
